Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club, Inc.
The Specialty Vizsla Club of Colorado
We are a group of Vizsla enthusiasts in the metro Denver area who participate in various activities with our beloved companions. We are the Specialty Vizsla Club of Colorado. We have many "open space" outings, snowshoeing, and hiking adventures throughout the year. Our members are also involved in various AKC events such as conformation, agility, rally, obedience, field trials, and hunting tests. Members are also actively involved in Vizsla Rescue. If you're looking to add a Vizsla to your family, our Breeder Referral Program can help you locate a responsible Vizsla breeder in Colorado. Please don't buy a Vizsla puppy until you've talked with us!

How to get involved with the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club
 |
Join the Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club Facebook Group - How cool are we!? The RMVC has a Facebook Group Profile. Go to, http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=230104870729 and "friend" us! This is a fun and interactive way for RMVC Members (and those interested in becoming RMVC Members) to stay in contact. Yup--we're cool! :-) |
 |
Participate - Come out and play with us at our various events, volunteer to work events, or propose an event you think we would all enjoy. This is a volunteer club--the more "working hands" the better! |
 |
Contact us - Email us at info@rmvc.org with questions about the club, how to find a Vizsla puppy, what to look for in a responsible breeder, or to ask any Vizsla related question. |
|
Looking for a Vizsla puppy?
So, you think you want a Vizsla? First, make sure you read all about Vizslas--though we love them, they're not the right breed for everyone.
Next, please, please consider adopting (or fostering) a Vizsla from rescue.
If you decide you really want a Vizsla puppy, please make the commitment to add a Vizsla to your family the right way. Choose a responsible Vizsla breeder.
The Rocky Mountain Vizsla Club Breeder Referral Program will refer inquiries to RMVC Breeder/ Members who have read the Club's Breeder Guidelines, are full voting members of the VCA, are in good standing with the RMVC and VCA, and have agreed to adhere to the VCA's Code of Ethics through each dues renewal. Our Breeder Referral Program is run by:
- Mel Reveles, info@rmvc.org
- Ginger Sammonds, 970.593.1711
- Judy Hetkowski
If we can't match you up with one of our club member breeders, we'll help you find a Vizsla puppy from another responsible Vizsla breeder. |

The Colorado/Wyoming Vizsla Rescue Group (CWVRG) NEEDS your help!
Because of the abundance of irresponsible people breeding and selling Vizslas, the CWVRG is taking in more rescues than ever before.
This is very disheartening news.
But you can help by fostering a rescue Vizsla. Contact, Alyssa McCluskey the assistant coordinator for more information.
